Royston Museum sits at the heart of the Royston community, and celebrates the wonderful stories of the town and its people. The museum illustrates and interprets the history of Royston and its district through its collections and resources, encouraging everyone – but in particular the local community – to actively participate in the collection, research and presentation of our local heritage.
Home of ancient burial mounds, a Roman crossroad, a medieval priory, James I palace and the enigmatic Royston Cave, discover over 2000 years of Royston's story at Royston Museum. With just under 20,000 objects in its Collection, Royston Museum celebrates and shares Royston’s heritage and stories; connecting people and places, past and present.
The Museum is open from Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm and entry is free.
