This exhibition is part of Herts Open Studios and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the work of six very different artists. This includes a good selection of original framed and unframed paintings in oils, acrylics, watercolours, mixed media and pastels.limited edition prints, monoprints, and artprints. As well as greeting cards and notebooks.
Each day you will be able to meet some of the artists exhibiting, and talk to them about their work, the techniques used and what inspires their creativity.
During the day one or more of the artists will be demonstrating, and in the mornings you will be invited to ‘Have a Go’.
A total of nine workshops are on offer during the three weeks. Each takes place in the afternoon, duration 1-2 hours depending on subject and media. Themes and dates are:
Drawing vintage cars, 11/9, £25
Using inks to paint wooden charms or bookmarks, 13/9, £25
Animation drawing and painting, 17/9, £15
Pastel landscapes, 18/9, £25
Fabric painting (to personalise a cotton tote), 19/9, £25
Mono-printing from plants, 20/9, £30
Acrylic colour mixing and painting, 25/9, £30
Decorating a miniature country cottage, 26/9, £30
Creating special greeting cards with watercolours and pens, 27/9, £15.
The workshop prices include all the materials needed for your creative session.
Numbers will be limited to a max of four people so everyone will have lots of attention.
